Obituary

Renee Sharlene Fye-Suski was born on April 15, 1967 to Allen Anderson and Jean Fye (Mims) at Boston City Hospital in Boston, MA. She spent many years living in a 6-family house on Ellington Street in Dorchester. She attended the Boston Public Schools with her sisters and brother and eventually graduated from the Job Corp. Program.

Even at a young age, Renee was always fun and outgoing. She loved to explore and embark upon adventures with her brother Allen and sister Vanessa. Although she loved her little sister dearly, Renee often left Malinda out of the escapades because she was too much of a tattle-tale and would report back all the details to their mom and dad.

Renee was a dreamer. As a young teenager, she set goals for herself of traveling and seeing the world. She was also passionate about caring for children. As an adult, it was not uncommon to hear Renee say “I’m all about the kids.” Renee worked for the Department of Social Services and served as an emergency home placement for children in need.

Renee eventually ventured out west to Greenfield, MA, where she would meet the eventual love of her life, Roman Suski. A friend of Renee’s wanted to date a friend of Roman’s and as a result Renee and Roman committed to a double date in support of their friends. The sparks were not immediate and there was some question as to whether or not Renee was interested in Roman. But as time passed, their desire to be together and love for one another grew. Since 1995, Renee and Roman have been inseparable. After purchasing a larger home that could accommodate their foster children, Renee and Roman made Amherst their permanent home.

Renee was a woman of class and distinction with a great sense of humor and an eye for the smallest of details. She loved being dressed in the finest clothes with a fancy handbag to match. When it came to helping and serving others, Renee only had one speed - over the top. Nothing was done on a small-scale. She always went above and beyond to help those in need. She loved unconditionally, gave generously and would give her absolute last. If you stopped by her house, you would never leave hungry. Renee was a devoted family-woman. “You don’t get to choose your family, but you can always create yours,” Renee would remark. In spite of the challenges with her health, Renee’s passion for life propelled her to live out her days to the fullest extent.

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, Renee departed this life at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA at the age of 55. Preceding her in death is her brother Allen Fye, father Allen Anderson, and brother-in-law Dennis Brown. She leaves to mourn her mother, Jean Mims (Eddie Mims), husband, Roman Suski, her children Allyn Fye, Hannah Fye, Lily Reyes, Ashley Vaughn, Eryca Maddox, Myra Anderson, step-children, Henry Suski, Tom Suski and Joanna Suski (Fausto Minidio), her sisters - Vanessa Brown and Malinda King (Tarrance King Sr.) and her nieces and nephews, Terrence Brown, Kevin Fye (Dawn Fye), Shaemeka Brown (Justin Clark), Joeanna McPherson (Michael McPherson), Carol Pratt, Tarrance King Jr. (Monique King), Terrell King, and Tamera King and a host of beloved children who call her Ma or Mama, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews.
