Millicent Elizabeth Walker

Millicent Elizabeth Walker was 102 years young! She was born in Rochester, New York, to the late Henry Buckingham and Julia Elizabeth Corey on Monday, May 12, 1919. She had a sister named Margaret Buckingham Carr and a brother named William Mitchell. She had a daughter named Grace Marie Buckingham White. She married Carl Walker Sr. on Saturday, April 14, 1956. Millicent worked at E.J. Korvette, also known as Korvettes department store, in New York City for many years until retirement. She peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 surrounded by her beloved family. 

Millicent was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother of several generations. She loved dark chocolate, going to the nail salon, and gambling at the casino. 
Millicent Elizabeth Walker is survived by her loving grandchildren; Mary Ann Witter, Michael White, Margaret Diggs, Marilyn Silvaney, Mark White, Myron White, and Marie Johnson; Anthony Carl Barnett, Stephanie Thiede, and Mark Barnett; Dr. Caren Walker Gregory, Carl Walker, and Desiree Walker Brown. In addition, Millie’s lineage expands several generations to include great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great, great, great-grandchildren, and numerous other nieces and nephews, all of which have brought her joy and comfort throughout her life.

Millie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl Walker Sr., her son Dr. Carl Walker Jr., her daughters Grace Marie Buckingham White and Lois Barnett, and granddaughter Millicent Edith White.
