Jose Fontes

Jose lived to the ripe age of 103 with a good quality of life through his last days. He was always ready to tell a story, sharp as a tack and had a remarkable memory. He loved his family and could recite his family tree going back several generations. He loved drawing, poetry, reading, writing and always shared his wisdom and passion with everyone. 

Jose is the husband of the late Maria (Pipizinha) Fontes and is survived  by his brother Manuel Fontes of Pawtucket ,Rhode Island.

He was the dear father of eight children - Maria (Bilotche) Fernandes and her husband Telo of Portugal, Maria (Lilizita) Ramos and her husband Julio of S.Vicente, Cabo Verde,
David Fontes and his wife Celina of Fall River, Ben David Fontes of Brockton, Liliana Fontes and her husband Beija of Brockton, Jose (Zeca) Fontes of Fogo, Cabo Verde, Jose (Zezinho) and his wife Lilizita Fontes of Brockton and Tony Gonsalves and his wife Rita of Brockton.

He was blessed to have twenty one grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jose knew everyones name and adored them all.
