Born in High Point, North Carolina to Norman and Mary Smith. 

He leaves his beloved wife Mary Erby-Smith, Children: Sheila Kee (Michael), Lisha Blake, John Smith (Gwen), Dolores Smith, Kevin Evans (Elizabeth Santiago), Rashaan Smith (Jo-Ann) and Lakeysha Smith. 

Blessed to have thirteen grandchildren and he also leaves a host of other relatives, church family and friends to cherish his memories.
