Jose Avelino Burgo

Burgo, Jose Avelino born in Brava, Cabo Verde passed peacefully in Boston, Massachusetts surrounded by his loving family on December 3, 2019. 

He leaves his loving wife Ana DeBurgo. His caring children Elizabeth "Liz" Carreiro, Sandy Carreiro, Jackie DeBurgo, Jessica DeBurgo, Jesse DeBurgo and Joshua DeBurgo. 

He was the affectionate brother to Antonio, Manuel Pedro, Zinha, NeNe and Chuchuka. 

Blessed to have seven grandchildren, he also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to cherish his memories. 

Visitation with family will be on Monday, December 9, 2019 from 6-9 PM at George Lopes Funeral Home, 647 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 10 AM from St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Interment will follow to New Calvary Cemetery, Walk Hill Street, Mattapan, MA
