Corey Thompson

On Sunday, June 23, 2019, our beloved Corey Dash (Thompson) passed away at the age of 25.

Persistence, love, loyalty, and warmth are just a few of the qualities that Corey embodied.  He was able to create a beautiful life that was dynamic, based on the principles of love and respect that were instilled in him by his loving Mom and family. This led Corey to pursue a career as a successful DJ and model. He was widely recognized as a fresh and upcoming face in the world of fashion.  Corey posed for renown clothing designers such as Polo, Foot Locker, Adidas, and Reebok to name a few.

This is the man in remembrance today, a man of faith, hope and courage.  Corey was sharply intelligent with an eye for detail, and a very creative mind.  He will be remembered by those that had the opportunity to know him as a loyal son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He radiated a space that lingers even in his absence.  He was deeply devoted to his family and friends. Corey had an extremely generous heart, ensuring the happiness of those he loved.  His innovative, imaginative and intuitive way of thinking created the groundwork for limitless potential.  He was loved and revered by many.  

Corey is survived by his parents, Junior and Carolann Phillips. His four siblings, Kevin, Taylor, Tori, and Tristan Phillips. Grandparents Cora Carrington, Beverly Phillips, and Samuel Dash.  His aunts: Sabrina Carrington, Maxine Carrington, Michelle Boyce, Iysha Phillips, Leslie Goodwin, Cindy Kirton-Burnett, Charmaine Phillips.  His uncles: Kevin Dash, Gregory Carrington, Phillip Dash and Anthony Phillips.  His cousins: Kyle, Rohan, Tyler, Lil Greg, Marsha, Lana, Anderson, David, Felicia, Anisa, Kevin Jr., Kala, Mikey, Maddy, Loveah, Sky, Roshea, Anaya, Jorel, Sasha, Shaina, Shakira, Christian, Morgan, Adam, Justin, Lei, Haniyah, Halena, Chimobi and Zarell.

He is reunited with his little sister Daria, and the countless angels that are now protecting him—we are sure he is dressing them all fabulously!

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10am at Grace Church of All Nations, 33 Elm Hill Avenue, Boston, MA 02121.
